Case study
Broadway Country Cottages
A holiday let lives or dies on whether the photographs make you want to be there, and whether booking direct feels easier than going back to the listings site you came from.

The brief.
Broadway Country Cottages is three luxury self-catering properties in the heart of the Cotswolds. Like every independent holiday let, the business problem is commission: platforms take a slice of every booking, so the site has to earn direct bookings on its own.
That means looking as good as the properties, answering every practical question, and making the booking route obvious.
What we did.
- Let the photography carry it.
House, gardens, rooms and the resident ponies: the imagery leads every section, with the copy staying out of its way.
- Gave each cottage its own page.
The Willows, The Lilacs and Pheasants Nest each carry their own gallery and details, so guests compare properties without leaving the site.
- Kept the host in the story.
A personal welcome from the owner does what no listings platform can: it makes the stay feel hosted before it is booked.
What shipped.
- Per-cottage pages with galleries and details
- Booking and availability routes built into the site
- Local-area content for the Cotswolds
- A personal, host-led tone throughout
What it does now
The site gives the cottages a direct-booking home that matches the standard of the properties. Occupancy and direct-booking figures are with the owner.
